US Sales ManagerPosted: Sept 2018

This is a new appointment to lead the line in the company’s US sales activities and the formation of a sales office. The essence of this role is, whilst working with our European sales team, to devise and implement appropriate strategies for generating new sales, developing new markets and creating third-party relationships that can open up leads to potential end-users. This will include the use of marketing packs, newsletters as well as internet and social media networking.

Previous business-to-business sales success is the key requirement, with a strong preference for a recent involvement in technical sales. Specific technology sales expertise is not essential as the detailed understanding of the Omnis Studio product will be provided by the technical support team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute the Business Development strategy for USA and Canada.
  • Target new business opportunities and manage them through to completion and repeat business.
  • Develop Omnis Partners Program to deliver growth in sales of both volume and value business.
  • Manage and develop all US/Canadian existing Omnis accounts.
  • Ensure the customers/partners maximise the benefits of Omnis Studio and the relationship with Omnis.
  • Organise the annual US Omnis Developer Conference.

The successful candidate is likely to have the following attributes:

  • Minimum 5+ years of business-to-business sales of software solutions, software development services or technical products
  • Experience of consultative solutions selling
  • A sustained track record of meeting / exceeding targets
  • Strong account planning and sales reporting skills
  • Polished, professional presentation both in person and in written / oral communications
  • Regular use of the internet and social networking media for sales and marketing purposes
  • Graduate level intellect

Additional qualities we would like to see in the ideal applicant are self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

This is currently a standalone role, working in connection with our continental European sales team, which has the potential to develop into a team leader role. Knowledge of a second language would be beneficial, as there will be opportunities for future interface with our businesses in Europe and beyond.
