We are delighted to announce that the highly anticipated Omnis Studio 11 Patch Release- Revision 35439 – is here, and it provides you with bug fixes and feature enhancements augmenting your app development even further.

Bug Fixes and Beyond:
Our team has been hard at work addressing your feedback and diligently squashing bugs to ensure a smooth and seamless experience with Omnis Studio. With this patch release, we have resolved several issues and improved stability. Your valuable input has been invaluable, and we’re committed to continually enhancing Omnis Studio to exceed your expectations. Please see the Readme.txt file accompanying the release for details of bug fixes in this release.

Valuable Feature Enhancements:

Our engineers made sure to implement some new features and enhancements, enabling you to create stunning and unique applications. Among the enhancements are the following:

  • A new $showui property has been added to the Camera control to allow you to show the appropriate UI for using the Camera or Barcode scanner. 
  • The $autosizecolumn() method has been added to the Headed list window control to automatically resize a column to the maximum width of the data.
  • The Push Notifications library has been updated to support Firebase HTTP API v1 which is available with the updated JavaScript wrappers on the Omnis website. 
  • You can now long press on the Previous or Next arrow buttons on a List pager to jump to the start or end of the pages displayed in the list control. 
  • The $htmlcontrolsusehttp property has been added to the oBrowser control, to force Omnis to use the built-in web server to serve html controls over HTTP which is more secure. 
  • When specifying PNG icon images to be used with the Multibutton control using the $iconstr property, you can now include the icon size to improve the UI. 
  • Example apps for Python and LDAP have been added to the Samples section in the Hub in the Studio Browser.
