  • Database converter DF1, DF2 and DF3

    Hi Everyone
    I’m new to Omnis, I am designing a data warehouse and require to ingest data from the Omnis system .The IT department gave me access to a folder that has DF1, DF2 and DF3 data files.
    Is there anyway to convert these to CSV or My Sql. Due to our country lockdown will be difficult to get any approvals, so I require free solution.
    Much appreciated
    Nate

    Hi Nate.
    You can use an evaluation copy of Omnis Studio to copy the data from the Omnis data file into a MySQL database. Using the SQL Browser utility, you create an OMNISSQL session that connects to the data file (.DF1) and a MYSQL session that connects to your MySQL database. Open both sessions. You can then use drag and drop to copy whole tables directly over to MySQL. If you want continued access to MySQL after the trial period expires, it will require a standard developer license I believe.

    Hello, could you please provide the steps or some kind of documentation for setting up the OMNISSQL connection? I’m using iOS and I keep getting the following error message when I try to connect to a .DF1 file from Omnis Studio –
    The SQL Browser was unable to log on :

    [iODBC][Driver Manager]Driver’s SQLAllocEnv() failed”

      Hello Theo,

      Do you really mean iOS here?
