Cross Platform App Development at its best now with Native Support for Apple M1 & Monterey

We are excited to announce that a new patch release Omnis Studio 10.2 Rev 31315 is now available. This release supports application development and deployment using Omnis Studio 10.2 on macOS running natively on M1 (arm64) and Intel (x86_64) based Apple computers; plus this release is certified to run on macOS 12 Monterey.

So Omnis Studio 10.2 now enables developers to make full use of the excellent performance capabilities of Apple’s latest M1-based hardware: much faster CPU response, significantly enhanced graphics performance, and battery efficiency which comfortably outstrips the prior generation of Apple Macs.

Once again, this news highlights Omnis Studio’s true cross-platform capability, which allows developers to create apps on the operating system of their choice and then deploy them across other operating systems (e.g. Windows, macOS, Android, iOS) and devices without the need for further modification or recompilation.

While the primary purpose of this free patch release is to provide native support for Apple M1 and macOS 12 Monterey, this revision also includes a few small enhancements and essential, real-world bug fixes and adjustments to keep your Omnis Studio 10.2 software safe and fully optimized. So Omnis Studio 10.2 Rev 31315 is an important release not only for developers working on Mac computers but for every Omnis developer.

What’s new in Omnis Studio 10.2 Rev 31315?

  • Main Window Resize Message
A new task message $mainresized has been added, which is called when the main Omnis window has been resized on the Windows platform.
  • JavaScript Forms

  • Reports
